Girls’ Day at IPA Mainz 2026

“What do you need for a weather forecast?” – The institute for atmospheric physics (IPA) at JGU Mainz and TPChange invited girls ages 10-12 to learn more about this question. We built and tested our own weather measurement devices and visited the institute’s weather station.

Girls’ Day is a nationwide day that allows girls from grade 5 onwards to explore STEM topics, degree programs, and careers.
This event was organised by Vera Bense, Aurelia Müller, Mara Montag and Isabel Kurth – with support from Philipp Reutter and Annette Miltenberger.
